Hello.
My name is Sean O'Toole. I have been involved with Scouting for close to two decades. I have been a Cub Master, an Assistant Cub Master, and a Den Leader for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and WEBELOS I and II. Both my sons were Cub Scouts and my youngest crossed over to Boy Scouts and is a member of Troop 529.
I am very proud to be part of this organization and excited to lead Troop 529 as Committee Chair. I am a co-Founder of the troop and was the first Scoutmaster serving for 4 years. We have an excellent group of adults with lots of experience who have dedicated themselves to creating an exciting experience for our boys. Our charter organization, St Benedict Catholic Church, is extremely supportive of our growth and success.
We have a fantastic group of Scouts. It is a very diverse troop ranging from experienced Eagle Scouts to boys who are brand new to scouting. We started in 2012 with six boys and have grown to over 40. Each month we plan an out door event. Once a quarter we schedule a high adventure outing such as canoeing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, or skiing. Outdoors is key to the Scouting experience.
We also have a rich history of service to our community. This includes working at the Cooper River Bridge Run, helping annually with Operations Christmas Child, supporting the Knights of Columbus, serving at the annual Seacoast Turkey Fry, and working with our charter organization: St. Benedict Catholic Church.
I am very proud of the boys in this troop and invite you to visit us Wednesday evenings at 7pm at St. Benedict's.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely
Sean O'Toole.
