Hello and Welcome to Troop 342,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Paul Prestin the Scoutmaster of Troop 342. Our troop has been active for over 50 years operating in partnership with our charter organization St. Vincent de Paul Parish here in Federal Way, Washington.
Scouting is a family friendly activity. Parents are welcome at meetings and often volunteer to help. Parents, siblings and friends are welcome to attend some of our monthly outdoor activities. These include things like hiking, camping, canoeing, land navigation, first aid and marksmanship skills. Scouts tell me they enjoy the outdoor activities and the opportunity to camp, learn and make new friends.
We live in a challenging times and the impacts to the scouting experiences have constrained many of the activities we have traditionally offered. But that has not stopped Troop 342 scouting! Virtual and socially distanced activities can continue to provide opportunities to help develop and nurture youth. Providing outlets for socialization that are safe, structured, and most of all fun.

Yours in Scouting,
Paul Prestin
