Description

Troop meetings are run by the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) and the Assistant (ASPL), with adults providing supervision and advice when asked.
  • Each month the Senior Patrol Leader meets with the Patrol Leaders at a Patrol Leader Conference (PLC) to plan out the next month.
  • Each Troop meeting consists of: 1) A learning opportunity, such as a Scout or Adult presentation (winter camping, backpacking, first aid, snow sports, bike use and repair, etc), and 2) A game requiring teamwork, Scout Craft, or other positive attributes.
  • Patrol meeting to discuss and plan future activities
  • Scouts are encouraged to work on merit badges and rank advancement. Scouts routinely achieve First Class by the end of their second year (June), after summer camp.
  • Adults are encouraged to participate in outings but take a back seat role, allowing Scouts to exercise their knowledge, skills and abilities with minimum adult intervention.
  • Several fund raisers each year with proceeds going to individual Scout accounts to curtail cost of events.
  • Annual, June meeting for Scouts to determine the next year's Troop outings
